Paul Wesley
Pawel Tomasz Wasilewski was born on July 23, 1982 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Polish parents Tomasz and Agnieszka Wasilewski. He's known professionally as Paul Wesley and is an American actor, director and producer. Besides English he speaks fluent Polish having spent four months every year in Poland until the age of 16. Paul went to three different high schools including an all-boys Catholic school. During thos time he started pursuing his acting career. After graduation from high school he enrolled at Rutgers University where he only stayed a semester and thenleft so he could focus on his acting. Over the next few years Paul took parts in notable television series such as Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Smallville, The O.C. and 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. Wesley began directing The Vampire Diaries in its fifth season and is currently directing as well as starring in the show.
