One Direction

One Direction, aka. 1D, are a hugely popular pop boy band from London, discovered on the hit show X-Factor, consisting of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik before he left the band. They did not know each other before the audition of the X Factor in 2010, but fate brought them together and later achieved fame and glory in 1D. One Direction was introduced to the United States in 2012 tour with Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush and instantly sold out dates for their first headlining tour. They also sold out a show at Madison Sqaure Garden in couple of minutes. That year the band carried out their debut single at the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony in London. They made history in March 2012 when their first album, Up All Night, hit #1 on the U.S. Billboard table. Their most famous songs are “What Makes You Beautiful” and “One Thing.”
